With DJ Superstar candidates’ applications already pouring in from all corners of the world, burn Residency 2015 proudly announces and welcomes techno king and the legend himself, Mr Carl Cox as the Head Mentor, for the second year in a row.
A true royal of electronic music and a living legend will once again offer his wizardry and join burn Residency to help discover the next generation of electronic music talents and pave their way towards industry success. Celebrating astounding 14 years as an IBIZA resident and Intec Digital label owner, Carl Cox will generously provide his mentorship, knowledge, friendship and guidance to all the finalists who make it to burn Residency bootcamp in Ibiza this year.
Going from a small time disco DJ to a Mega DJ SUPERSTAR, Carl Cox has experienced just about every challenge and excitement a DJ career has to offer. Who better than him can cover every blind spot and industry pitfall for talented and aspiring DJs, as they start their journey to TAKE THEIR OWN STAGE
Joining Carl will be ‘Circus Recordings’ owner and music advocate, talented DJ YOUSEF who will assist as Associate Mentor and work with the finalists day in and day out. Yousef is a complete force within electronic music, and has come to represent the ethos of the modern DJ who will contribute a great deal to the success of the program.
After the phenomenal success of the last years, burn Residency has firmly cemented itself as the biggest global DJ competition – committed to finding and nurturing up-and-coming DJ talent, and providing them with a Once-In-A-Lifetime opportunity to kick-start their careers with a summer-long residency in the top clubs on Ibiza and a 100.000€ DJ contract.
